Reality Gap

  • You know how this is supposed to go.

There’s a version of it that makes sense.
    Clean. Reasonable. Easy to explain.

But in practice, it feels heavier than expected.
Harder to enter. Slower to move.

You keep adjusting yourself to match it.

  • Hold the version you expect next to what’s observably happening.

Happening in your body, in your time, in your attention.

    Where do they diverge?

Where does it ask more than you have?
Where does it flatten something that matters?

    Let the difference be visible.

  • Shift one edge of it.

Reduce the scope.  Change the timing.
    Rename what this actually is.

Let it meet you where you are, not where it was supposed to be.

    Keep what holds.
    Let the rest loosen.
